Consultant Plastic and Hand Surgeon
Specialist in Hand & Wrist Surgery
He is a fully trained Consultant in Plastic Surgery and has developed a subspecialist interest in Hand Surgery. He is employed full-time in the NHS where his practice is predominantly Hand Surgery and General Plastic Surgery. Within the field of Hand Surgery he manages common hand conditions and has developed a specialist wrist practice with a focus on scaphoid non-union and wrist pathology. He undertakes private practice at Pinehill Hospital in Hitchin and at Spire Harpenden Hospital. His private practice mirrors his NHS practice and he operates on common hand problems and complex wrist problems. He trained in London, Liverpool, Swansea and Sydney where he undertook a year long Hand Fellowship at the Sydney Hospital Hand Unit under the guidance of Professor Bruce Conolly.
He is a member of the British Association of Plastic Surgeons and a member of the British Society of Surgery of the Hand.
Fred Schreuder is a keen runner and enjoys art as a hobby.
